About Us

Eklavya Model Residential School Lumla (EMRSL) is a Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs promoted 100% Free Residential Educational institution for Meritorious Tribal
Students. EMRS system was created under Article 275/1 of the Constitution of India for education & welfare of Tribal societies in India whereby eventually making it the most successful scheme of Government of India across Tribal Areas in India in uplifting lives and creating better society by education. GOI now aims to establish over 700 such schools in India. Presently over 200 EMRS institutions are successfully running managed by NGOs.

EMRS, Lumla houses a rich library with over 4500 Audio Visual and Published titles, 2 encyclopaedia, full range of Indra Jaal Comics, Tincle Comics, TinTin comics, imported titles, Short stories, Biographies, Scientific and Technological publications, Ancient Scriptures in Audi Visual format, Novels, etc. We proudly say that we have one of the best Libraries in Arunachal Pradesh. We encourage the students to inculcate a habit of reading.

EMRS, Lumla provides a state-of-the-art computer lab with 30 computer terminals in LAN Network and connected through N Sync system. We have the latest computer models to ensure that our students stay updated with the latest technological innovations. We have 30 students and there is a 1:1 ratio of student vs computer. Students are learning the Desktop Publishing software like Windows Office and Art software as well. N-Sync environment also introduces them to the LAN and Networking environment.

EMRSL has a modern kitchen on the campus withholding the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene. It is equippe with External LPG cylinder holding space and LPG Pipelines as per IOC standards. Kitchen uses all SS Steel cooking utensils and trollies Dining area has SS Steel dining plates, spoons, quarter plates and glasses for students which are easy to clean and maintain. The kitchen staff is all trained to cook delicious meals while maintaining the food value and nutritional aspects.
